I lead service design and product teams inside government. Big problems, short timelines, constraints that don't go away.

Today I'm Director of Service Design at the Government of Alberta, leading practice across government. Before that: design and consulting roles in public sector, energy, social services, and transportation — building teams in places where "service design" was a new term.

The work is three things: framing the right problem before solving it, shipping fast inside slow systems, and building things people want to use.

Scoping the right problem, lining up sponsors, and writing the brief everyone agrees to before building starts.

Proof Point Led problem solving and strategic design across government for 5M+ Albertans. Explored what problems to solve, then worked to get them delivered.

Service and product design

Building design and research practice across multiple ministries. Running a community of practice in Service Design and UX so the teams shipping the work have the skills to do it well.

Proof Point Grew a 40+ person service design practice to over 100 practitioners.
03 / Leadership

Coaching leaders and executive sponsors

Coaching design and product leaders, and the executives who sponsor them. Capability building, and the long, frustrating conversations that build trust.

Proof Point Coached design and product leaders across government and industry. Designed and ran a digital capability program for everyone from analysts through executives.
